Cameos
Oh, how I adore cameos. My sweet sister purchased one for me this past summer while touring Italy. It is from the Cellini Factory and the scene depicts a lovely young maiden being serenaded by a tiny bird. What an art form! The finite detail really makes my heart sing.
I have tried to seek out and work with antique and vintage cameos in my jewelry. They are a bit difficult to find, let alone to afford. The few I have listed here are sweet and pretty and it is a delight to showcase them with pearls. Buy the cameo, first and foremost, for its beauty, but secondly because it makes a beautiful piece of everyday, wearable art. Don't see one you like?
